Research residency - Casa da Imagem, Fundação Manuel Leão

I research and develop tools to foment legal literacy on human rights through a multidisciplinary approach. The main aim of the permanent residency is to foster a culture of rights and citizenship for youth, starting from pre-school children. I am supported by the team of Casa da Imagem, part of Fundação Manuel Leão, to cross art and image as vehicles to promote and achieve legal literacy in these domains. One of the projects that resulted from this residency was (en)ABLE, a training course to make NGOs more inclusive towards disability. Another project that I am currently involved in is #narcisonline, a project which tackles the way in which digital media impacts on sharing images and its visibility in the public sphere. Within #narcisonline my role is to address issues concerning the right of freedom of expression and the right to privacy, adopting the multidisciplinary method enshrined in the philosophy of the residency. This is an ongoing collaboration.
